The Dubai International Motor Show is almost here, meaning carmakers are dropping all kinds of hints as to what we can expect to see this year.

Cadillac is one such brand, and it’s got something pretty special lined up for the Dubai Motor Show. It’ll be showing off the stunning Escala concept car, which touches down in the Middle East for the first time.

The first thing you should know is that it’s a concept car, meaning you can’t buy it. But it does give us an idea of where Cadillac is going with its future models. Designed as a futuristic flagship sedan, Cadillac says that it lays the groundwork for a bigger companion to the (already quite big) CT6.

That said, Cadillac is already putting some of the design cues of the Escala to good use in its current cars. The CT6 luxury sedan and XT5 compact SUV both contain elements of the Escala.

Elsewhere on Cadillac’s stand, you’ll find the redesigned XTS sedan, as well as the new Escalade SUV, the 2018 model of which comes with a new 10-speed automatic gearbox. The American brand will also be showing off the ATS-V and the CTS-V – two of its high-performance models that come with massive V8 power and a whole lot of racing paraphernalia.
