Off-road car specialist Jeep this week unveiled the brand-new Compass, the brand’s compact SUV.
According to the company, the Compass will be available with 17 different engine options in over 100 countries around the world. Jeep said that it’ll hit dealerships in the Middle East in the second half of 2017.
While details on the new car are scant (Jeep is holding the big reveal until the Los Angeles Auto Show in November), the company claims that the Compass will be “the most capable compact SUV ever”. Certainly, the brand’s latest offerings have all renewed their focus on off-road ability, so we can probably expect the Compass to eschew more ruggedness than its peers.
What’s more, it looks like a baby Grand Cherokee, which is no bad thing, given the popularity of that car in this market.
Jeep also promised “superior on-road driving dynamics, open-air freedom, and a host of safety and advanced technology offerings”.
