Breakfast; the most important meal of the day (so they say) and sometimes the most delicious. During the week, most of us are too busy to really enjoy it, it’s normally a quick bite of something while getting ready for work or something quick at our desks. That’s why we’ve dedicated a full story to breakfasts in Dubai, so this weekend you can actually enjoy that all important first meal of the day. From vegan, to a full English, you’ll definitely find the right spot for you.

The Acai Spot – Healthy Breakfast

If you’re an Instagrammer, you’ve probably seen pictures of The Acai Spot’s beautifully decorated breakfasts all over your newsfeed. The Acai Spot is an organic food place for healthy eaters who like to enjoy a good breakfast… You won’t be surprised to learn, one of their main breakfast items is ‘the acai bowl’ which consists of granola, acai berries, nuts and other toppings of your choice, and is basically like having ice-cream for breakfast. There are plenty of other yummy breakfast options on the menu, as well as fab smoothies to suit all type of eaters, including vegans. The Acai Spot is located in Centurion Star Tower in Port Saeed, 1 minute away from Deira City Center. You can also check their menu here.

Seven Sands – Emirati Breakfast

Living in Dubai and still haven’t tried an Emirati breakfast? Head to Seven Sands restaurant located in JBR, The Beach and get a taste of the UAE’s most famous breakfast dishes. The restaurant is a perfect blend of traditional and modern, serving Emirati dishes made by top chefs in the UAE. The menu at Seven Sands contains a variety of Emirati dishes ranging from lunch, dinner, desserts and traditional breakfast, like “Mohalla Special with Balaleet Stuffing” which are Saffron flavoured crepes stuffed with sweet vermicelli (balaleet), served with date syrup, and many more. And in case you have no idea about what to order, they have platters ready for you to try so you don’t have to worry about it. Even better, the platter only costs AED 50.

La Serre – French Bistro & Boulangerie

La Serre, the French bistro located in Downtown Dubai, gives you full on traditional French cafe vibes. It’s divided into two, downstairs is a boulangerie, while upstairs is bistro, but both serve delicious breakfast options. The menu includes French toast, eggs benedict, chocolate-covered waffles, and if you’re in for a quick bite, there’s croissants and loads of pastries. Prices at La Serre are not exactly cheap, but you do really get what you pay for here – good food.

One Café – Best for Vegans

If you’re a vegan, this is a must visit! One Café is located around the back of Jumeirah 1 in a little villa which has a yoga studio and café inside and a beautiful garden. The menu is all vegetarian and gluten free and perfect for healthy eaters. Breakfast options include granola, eggs and a huge selection of juices and smoothies. The homemade breakfast cereal is one of their best creations; a large portion of seeds, nuts and dried fruits with a few gluten free flakes (oats and corn) all topped with homemade strawberry and coconut ice-cream. Too good.

Reform Social & Grill – English Breakfast

Reform Social & Grill is the place to be for early risers! The restaurant opens at 7AM and serves delicious full English breakfast until 10:30AM, including eggs, beans, black pudding and, since they have a pork license, even pork sausage and bacon are an option. The gastro-Brit pub which is located in The Lakes, have a spacious outdoor terrace overlooking the community pool of the Lakes where you can enjoy the weather and have breakfast with your family, and there’s an indoor seating too. Price wise, it’s not cheap but definitely worth the food, view and drinks!
