There’s a ‘24 Hour Mega Sale’ at seven malls in Abu Dhabi starting on June 15 at 10.00am.
There’ll be discounts of up to 90% on products in a range of categories, including fashion, jewellery, home furniture and electronics. The participating malls are Yas, World Trade Centre, Marina, Al Jimi, Dalma, Hili and Bawadi Mall.
Visitors to Yas Mall who spend AED 300 can enter a draw to win hourly gift cards and a Tesla Model X. You’ll also be able to meet a social media ‘Superstar’ called MoVlog, who will apparently be taking part in Abu Dhabi’s first bargains ‘blog-off’. There will also be fireworks shows on the Corniche that should be visible across the city
The 24-hour sale is a precursor to this year’s Abu Dhabi Summer Season, which runs between June 21 and August 18, and caters to visitors from GCC states and those staying put for the summer.
“The Eid Fest celebrations and Abu Dhabi Summer Season are annual anchor events that aim to underpin the emirate’s credentials as a destination of distinction during the summer, especially for families looking for unmissable experiences and offers,” said Sultan Al Mutawa, the executive director of tourism at the Department of Culture and Tourism-Abu Dhabi.
“It forms part of our long-term strategy to incentivise the private sector and tourism industry and get them involved in event development, while building both regional and international awareness of the emirate’s appeal.”
