Ever wondered what was behind the security desk at the entrance to the Emirates business class lounge? Well, now you can get a peek inside without needing to buy a business class flight ticket.
That’s right, Emirates has opened its business and first class lounges at Dubai International Airport to customers with economy tickets. You’ll need to be travelling on Emirates, still, and you’ll also have to be a Skywards Blue member, but the point is it’s now possible to indulge in a little pre-flight luxury before your flight, without needing to shell out for business class tickets.
That said, you will need to pay for access to the exclusive lounges. If you’re an economy class ticket holder, you’ll need to pay $100 (AED 360) to get into the business class lounge, and $200 (AED 720) for entrance to the first class lounge.
In both cases, the entry fee will you buy you four hours’ access.
And if you’re a business class ticket holder, or if you’ve got a Skywards Silver or Gold card, you’re automatically given access to the business class lounge. Still, you’ll now be able to upgrade to the first class lounge for $100 – if you so wish.
What do you reckon? Would you pay for business class lounge access? Let us know in the comment box below.
