Head-To-Head: 3 Etihad Guest Credit Cards Put To The Test

Etihad Guest Credit Card

Which are the best Etihad Guest credit cards available in the UAE? We’ve done the comparisons for you, and these will earn you the most Etihad Guest Miles.

If you regularly travel on the UAE’s flagship airline, Etihad Airways, then there’s a decent chance you’re part of Etihad Guest, the airline’s frequent flyer programme.

And no doubt you’ve racked up a decent number of Etihad Guest Miles along your travels. But did you know that you don’t actually need to fly in order to earn Etihad Guest Miles?

In fact, the most effective way to earn Etihad Guest Miles is to use a credit card. Some of the leading Abu Dhabi banks have partnered with Etihad Airways to create credit cards that will earn their users air miles on every purchase.

Indeed, if you’re clever about how you use these cards, making big-ticket purchases on them and then keeping on top of the repayments, you can effectively earn large numbers of air miles for next to nothing.

But which are the best Etihad Guest credit cards available in the UAE? Well, we’ve done the comparisons for you, and what you’ll find below are the three most effective cards for earning you lots of Etihad Guest Miles.

ADIB Etihad Guest Visa Platinum Credit Card

ADIB’s Etihad Guest Visa Platinum card tops the list for a number of reasons. And one of the big ones is that, if you sign on to the card, you’ll earn a welcome bonus of 50,000 Etihad Guest Miles.

But the benefits of this credit card go a lot further than a welcome bonus. It’s incredibly easy to earn Etihad Guest Miles with this card – you’ll get 2.2 miles for every AED 4 spent locally, and 3 miles for every AED 4 spent internationally. Oh, and you’ll be automatically fast-tracked to the Etihad Guest Gold Tier, meaning first-dibs on flight discounts, airport lounge access, and all of the good stuff that comes with being on the top tier of Etihad’s frequent flyer programme.

Elsewhere, ADIB’s card will get you a free companion ticket, and you can even pay the annual fee in Etihad Guest Miles. Probably a good idea, given you’ll be racking up the miles so quickly with this card.

The benefits aren’t limited to travel, either; the ADIB Etihad Guest Visa Platinum card offers free valet parking at select locations around the UAE, as well as free, 24-7 roadside assistance across the UAE.

And the best thing is that these benefits are available without having to earn a ridiculously high minimum salary. That means more people can use this card for its sheer mile-earning potential. This isn’t just our favourite Etihad Guest card – it might be our favourite airline co-branded card full-stop.

ADCB Etihad Guest Above Infinite Card

If, for some reason, you’re looking for something different, you could do a lot worse than this – the Etihad Guest Above Infinite Card from ADCB. It’s pretty expensive, with a minimum salary requirement of AED 25,000 per month and an annual fee of AED 2,500, but it does offer big rewards.

For example, there’s a hefty Etihad Guest Miles welcome bonus, and you’ll be fast-tracked to the Etihad Guest Gold Tier. In terms of miles-earning potential, you’re looking at 1 tier mile per 1 USD purchase. You can also get discounts on tickets to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld.

FAB Etihad Guest Infinite Card

If you want the best Etihad Guest benefits from FAB, you’ll have to look to the most expensive card on offer in its Etihad Guest range. The FAB Etihad Guest Infinite Card requires a minimum salary of AED 30,000, but is at least fee-free for the first year. Still, you’ll get automatic enrolment in the Etihad Guest Gold Tier, plus a bunch of bonus miles on sign-up.

The card also gives you complimentary airport lounge access, a number of free airport transfers, and a few complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi vouchers. Spend a lot every month on the card, and you can earn up to 7.5 Etihad Guest Miles for every AED 10 spent.
