If you’re used to travelling away from the UAE for the summer, you’ll know that one of the big holiday expenses comes in the form of mobile roaming charges.

However, if you’re on the Etisalat network this year, you won’t have to shell out so much for the cost of using your phone abroad. Etisalat recently introduced a new schedule of charges for roaming, making it much more affordable for travellers leaving the UAE for the summer months.

The headline offer this summer (available until September 5, 2017) is that you can get 2 GB of roaming data for the cost of 1 GB. It’ll set you back AED 200, which will give you 2GB of roaming data to be used over the course of a week. Just make sure you’re connected to one of Etisalat’s preferred roaming partners (the company has at least one preferred partner in almost every country around the world).

There are plenty of other data roaming options on offer, too. For example, you can get a daily 25 MB of roaming data for AED 25, or 100 MB of daily roaming data for AED 35. Elsewhere, if you really need to stay connected, there’s an unlimited daily pack that’ll give you unlimited roaming data for AED 50 per day.

Buying a pack when you’re abroad couldn’t be easier. Simply dial *177# and follow the on-screen instructions, or text the SMS purchase code for your chosen pack to 1010. Before you know it, you’ll be connected!
