If you’re a frequent traveller, an Amex Platinum Credit Card could quickly become one of your best friends. It gives you (and a guest) access to more than 700 VIP airport lounges in more than 100 countries all around the world. It also provides complimentary travel accident and inconvenience insurance in case of any unfortunate incidents.
It’s pretty nice for Air Miles too, as Platinum Credit Card holders are able to transfer Membership Rewards Points to 12 airline partners, including Emirates Skyward and Etihad Guest. There is also complimentary membership to Rewards Points, a reward programme which allows members to collect points and redeem them for services at different places. Platinum Credit Card owners earn two full membership rewards points for ever AED 4 spent on the card and, what’s even better, the points never expire and can be redeemed anytime for different rewards like complimentary flights, free nights at hotels, shopping vouchers and more.
The annual fee for this card is AED 700, but if you spend at least AED 10,000 in the first three months of the membership, the AED 700 will be credited back to you. The complimentary card membership can continue for all following years, if you spend up to AED 40,000 per year. And in case you feel like pampering a member of your family who’s over 18, you get a free supplementary card with the membership.
