If you’re often sending money from the UAE to India, Al Ghurair International Exchange has just made things a little easier for you.

The UAE-based foreign exchange firm recently announced the launch of its Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) for India through IndusInd Bank. IMPS is an instant, real-time electronic funds transfer system in India. So what this means is that Indians in the UAE can now use Al Ghurair International Exchange to send funds instantly to IMPS-enabled banks in India 24-7.

The best thing is that you don’t even need to go to a branch to use the service. The IMPS system allows customers to use their phones to transfer money to banks in India, meaning you won’t have to delay payments in the event of a weekend or bank holiday.

“The IMPS service supports our continuous efforts to provide innovative services to our customers and at the same time maximise their convenience for remittance to their home countries,” explained Imad ul Malik, general manager at Al Ghurair International Exchange.

“Instant bank deposit facility to customers account is now possible as IMPS service facilitates uninterrupted transmission of funds. The bank account of beneficiary will be credited in India even before the remitter keeps the transaction receipt in his pocket.”

While IMPS has been available in India for some time, few services have taken advantage of IMPS to facilitate cross-border transfers. Al Ghurair’s tie-up with IndusInd Bank, then, allows users in the UAE to easily and quickly send money to India.
