Eid Al Adha is just around the corner, and like everyone else, UAE banks are adjusting their timings for the holiday.
The UAE Central Bank just sent out a circular advising major banks of the timings they’re expected to keep over the Eid Al Adha holiday.
According to the circular, banks will be closed for a five-day period over Eid. They’ll be off from Monday, August 20 until Thursday, August 23 for Eid. But there’ll obviously be a fifth day off on Friday, August 24 because UAE banks are closed on Friday anyway.
As a result, if you have any pressing banking needs that require a visit to the branch, you should aim to get them sorted before Monday.
None of your out-of-branch banking services should be affected by the holiday. The UAE Central Bank’s circular said that local banks need to ensure their ATMs are properly stocked over the Eid holiday, and online banking services will continue as usual.
The UAE government recently announced that private sector holidays for Eid Al Adha will amount to three days next week, and public sector workers will get five days off.
