That\u2019s quite a claim.<\/p>\n<p>How has Musk arrived at this conclusion? Well, he says, Tesla has created a dual-motor version that drops the Model 3\u2019s 0-100 km\/h time to 3.5 seconds and a limited top speed of 250 km\/h. He also says that, because the dual-motor translates to a four-wheel-drive car, it\u2019s more agile than the M3\u00a0through the corners.<\/p>\n<p>It will \u201cbeat anything in its class on track,\u201d Musk tweeted.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and the Performance model still offers a range of 500 km between charges. Interested? You\u2019re going to have to fork out USD 78,000 \u2013 which is basically what you\u2019ll pay for a well-specced BMW M3. And is quite a big jump on the Model 3\u2019s USD 35,000 starting price.<\/p>\n<p>Still, Musk says that you\u2019ll get every option available except for Autopilot.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, if you really think that\u2019s too much, Musk also announced a \u2018standard\u2019 AWD model in his tweetstorm. That comes at a USD 5,000 premium over the rear-drive model, and will do 0-100 km\/h in 4.5 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think?
