This is not a drill. A new Bugatti hypercar is going to be announced next month. We repeat, this is not a drill.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t know much about this new car, except that it\u2019ll be called the Bugatti Divo. Its name comes from Albert Divo, a French racing driver who won the Targa Florio race twice in the 1920s.<\/p>\n

All we\u2019ve been given by Bugatti is this one teaser picture, and an idea of what the Divo will be about. While the Chiron, Bugatti\u2019s current flagship (and the fastest production car in the world), is all about outright speed, the Divo will apparently be guided by a handling-based approach.<\/p>\n

Bugatti promises lightweight construction and higher downforce, which it says will offer \u201csignificantly better handling properties\u201d.<\/p>\n

We can\u2019t imagine the Divo will be particularly slow, though.<\/p>\n

Anyway, obviously you\u2019re going to want one. But there are two problems with that. One, production is being limited to just 40 examples. And two, it\u2019ll cost a cool EUR 5 million \u2013 that\u2019s about AED 21.4 million, and over twice the price<\/a> of the Chiron.<\/p>\n

Still, we can\u2019t wait to see the Divo when it\u2019s unveiled at the end of August. It\u2019ll be on show at \u201cThe Quail \u2013 A Motorsports Gathering\u201d in California, USA.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
