The lowdown on comprehensive car insurance

All-risk insurance gives you the maximum level of cover, for both you and the third party. But it also covers a whole lot more. Here’s all the info you need to know...

What is all-risk car insurance?

All-risk is the highest level of car insurance available, giving you complete peace of mind.

Do I have to have all-risk car insurance?

No, but car insurance of some kind is compulsory in Lebanon. Third-party cover is an alternative to all-risk, however a third-party policy won’t cover you or your car in the event of an accident and doesn’t include most of the extras which can make life easier (and cheaper) for you if an incident happens.

What does all-risk cover me for?

An all-risk policy will usually cover you for all the same things as a third-party policy will, plus any accidental damage, medical expenses, and loss of or damage to any personal belongings in the insured vehicle.

What other types of insurance are available?

Third-party is also an option, although it’s more basic and offers much less cover than all-risk. Most people assume that third-party is a cheaper alternative but while this may be true in some cases, it’s not true in all. All-risk cover can cost the same as third-party and offer so many more benefits, so it’s always worth using our service to find out what all-risk policies are available.

When is all-risk cover essential?

If you purchased your car using a credit agreement or loan, it is essential to have all-risk cover. If the car is written off or stolen you will still have to continue to pay the finance and without an all-risk policy, you won’t be covered.
