Meydan offers climate-controlled coastal living at Marsa Meydan

Meydan is promising fresh, cool air all-year-round at Marsa Meydan, its new project unveiled at last week’s Cityscape exhibition.

Lootah Real Estate breaks ground on The Edge

Lootah Real Estate Development has broken ground on The Edge, a low rise development in Dubai Investment Park.

Set for delivery in Q1 2020, The Edge will be a G+5+Rooftop residential building, made up of 103 units comprising studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.

Nakheel breaks ground on Dragon Towers development

Nakheel this week broke ground on Dragon Towers, its AED 713 million twin-building residential project at the rapidly-expanding Dragon City mixed-use community.

The ground-breaking ceremony comes a month after the developer awarded a contract for AED 552 million to UAE-based Ali Mousa & Sons Contracting to build the project – the first residential component at Dragon City and the only high-rise in the area. It is due for completion in 2021.

Dragon Towers, which went on sale last month with prices starting at AED449,000, is connected by a covered bridge to the Dragon Mart souq and its 5,000 shops, restaurants and attractions.

The project comprises two 37-storey buildings, each with 571 one- and two-bedroom apartments. There are also two floors of retail space, four parking levels and a sixth-floor podium level clubhouse with a 25-metre swimming pool, children’s pool, restaurant, gym and tennis court.

Dragon Towers is a key component of Dragon City, which currently comprises sister malls Dragon Mart 1 and 2 and an ibis Styles hotel. A new showroom and car park complex and a Premier Inn hotel are in advanced stages of construction, with further expansions in the pipeline.

Meraas And Bvlgari Begin Bvlgari Residences Handovers

Meraas and Bvlgari have started the handover of units at Bvlgari Residences Dubai.

The high-end development is is made up of 168 apartments ranging from one- to three-bedroom units, six four-bedroom penthouses, and 15 mansions ranging from three- to six-bedrooms.

The residences are located within the 1.7 million square foot Bvlgari Resort & Residences Dubai, which includes the world’s first Bvlgari Yacht Club. Units were designed by the Italian architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and are managed by Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts. Residents can avail of hotel-style services, including housekeeping, catering, butlers, personal shoppers and 24-hour concierges.

Azizi’s Palm Jumeirah Project On Track

Azizi Developments’ AED780 million (USD 212 million) Azizi Mina project is on track for completion by the end of 2018, the developer has announced.

Mechanical and electrical work is underway on the Palm Jumeirah development with tiling work also reported to be ongoing.

“Palm Jumeirah is one of the most iconic locations in the world,” said Mirwais Azizi, chairman of Azizi Group. “The market is witnessing a high demand for projects on Palm Jumeirah and Azizi Mina was conceptualised to address this need.

The event takes place on August 18 between 10am and 10pm at the Sky Bubble, on level 7 of the Meydan Hotel

Azizi Grand is a 70 metre tower with 431 apartments, including studios and one, two and three bedroom apartments.

Azizi Developments To Show Off Healthcare City Project This Weekend

Azizi Developments will hold a sales event this weekend for Fawad Azizi Residence, a planned freehold project in Dubai Healthcare City.

Fawad Azizi Residence will offer 396 apartments made up of studios and one and two bedroom units spread over 17 floors.

The developer says the AED 342 million building will feature a glass facade, landscaped gardens, gymnasium, swimming pool, retail areas and covered parking. It offers direct access to Al Khail road and Oud Metha road.

Al Furjan Azizi Plaza Set For Completion Before End Of 2018

Azizi Developments says its Al Furjan Azizi Plaza development is set for completion in the second half of 2018.

Work is currently progressing on internal finishings and elevations on the external façade. The development comprises 434 apartments made up of studio, one bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom units.

Damac’s First Sharia-Compliant Tower, Ghalia, Nears Completion

Damac Properties is on the verge of completing its first-ever Sharia-compliant tower, which it calls Ghalia.

The luxury, 727-apartment tower in Jumeirah Village Triangle has entered the final stages of completion, with units ready for handover by the end of 2018, according to Damac.

“Ghalia is a special project for Damac, as the tower offers residents the option to have their furnished apartments fully serviced,” said Ali Sajwani, general manager of operations at Damac Properties.

“Furthermore, Ghalia caters to our growing Muslim customers who are seeking luxury living that also complies with Sharia laws… we are thrilled to be completing the tower in 2018, with handover of units starting near the end of the year.”

Indeed, Ghalia offers separate leisure amenities for men and women. There are men’s and women’s dining facilities, men’s and women’s gyms, and men’s and women’s swimming pools.

In terms of the actual apartments on offer, Ghalia will contain one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. All are expected to be generously sized, given this is a luxury development. The building’s total floorspace covers over 1 million square feet.

The building comes in response to growing demand among Muslims for Shaira-compliant real estate developments.
