Nakheel Is Set To Launch Dragon Towers At Dragon City

Nakheel will officially launch Dragon Towers, a new twin-tower development at Dragon City, on Sunday 30 September.

Dragon Towers will feature 37 floors made up of one and two bedroom apartments. Each tower will house 571 apartments, each with its own parking space. The development is linked directly to Dragon Mart, a major retail hub for Chinese companies.

Two floors of Dragon Towers will feature a variety of retail outlets catering to residents’ every day needs and there will be a clubhouse at podium level with a gym, 25-metre pool and poolside restaurant.

Dragon City is located on Hatta/Oman road, around four minutes from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, five minutes from Dubai Safari Park and 15 minutes from Dubai International Airport.

Lootah Real Estate breaks ground on The Edge

Lootah Real Estate Development has broken ground on The Edge, a low rise development in Dubai Investment Park.

Set for delivery in Q1 2020, The Edge will be a G+5+Rooftop residential building, made up of 103 units comprising studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.

Located in the Ewan Residences development, in the heart of Dubai Investment Park, the area will feature amenities such as landscaped gardens, a recreation centre, swimming pools, jogging tracks, a shopping centre and play areas for children.

Nakheel breaks ground on Dragon Towers development

Nakheel this week broke ground on Dragon Towers, its AED 713 million twin-building residential project at the rapidly-expanding Dragon City mixed-use community.

The ground-breaking ceremony comes a month after the developer awarded a contract for AED 552 million to UAE-based Ali Mousa & Sons Contracting to build the project – the first residential component at Dragon City and the only high-rise in the area. It is due for completion in 2021.

Dragon Towers, which went on sale last month with prices starting at AED449,000, is connected by a covered bridge to the Dragon Mart souq and its 5,000 shops, restaurants and attractions.

The project comprises two 37-storey buildings, each with 571 one- and two-bedroom apartments. There are also two floors of retail space, four parking levels and a sixth-floor podium level clubhouse with a 25-metre swimming pool, children’s pool, restaurant, gym and tennis court.

Dragon Towers is a key component of Dragon City, which currently comprises sister malls Dragon Mart 1 and 2 and an ibis Styles hotel. A new showroom and car park complex and a Premier Inn hotel are in advanced stages of construction, with further expansions in the pipeline.

Apartments with clear views of Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain now on sale

Emaar is offering an opportunity to snap up apartments in Downtown Dubai with unobstructed views of Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain.

The developer has put an unspecified number of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units in its forthcoming Burj Royale development on sale.

Burj Royale has been designed as an extension of the Old Town neighbourhood with several hotels including Address Downtown, Vida Downtown and Manzil Downtown nearby. Residents can also step out onto Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard.

According to Emaar, “prices of premium apartments in Downtown Dubai are extremely competitive compared to similar developments in global cities.”

The estimated completion date is October 31, 2022. Buyers must pay ten regular instalments of 5%, with 50% due on completion.

Meraas Launches Port De La Mer, First Residential Community At La Mer

Meraas has unveiled Port de La Mer, a new residential neighbourhood at La Mer, a leisure area located next to Dubai Marine Beach Resort.

With a Mediterranean theme, the freehold development will include apartments and a 192-berth ‘superyacht’ marina.

La Mer includes a water park, shops and dining areas and retains part of the public beach that used to cover the area prior to its redevelopment. Port de la Mer will offer a mix of apartments, ranging from one to four bedrooms, with sea views.

Al Furjan Azizi Plaza Set For Completion Before End Of 2018

Azizi Developments says its Al Furjan Azizi Plaza development is set for completion in the second half of 2018.

Work is currently progressing on internal finishings and elevations on the external façade. The development comprises 434 apartments made up of studio, one bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom units.

“Our Al Furjan projects have been selling rapidly because of the marked infrastructure progress during the past year in and around the community,” said Mirwais Azizi, Chairman of Azizi Group.

Damac’s First Sharia-Compliant Tower, Ghalia, Nears Completion

Damac Properties is on the verge of completing its first-ever Sharia-compliant tower, which it calls Ghalia.

The luxury, 727-apartment tower in Jumeirah Village Triangle has entered the final stages of completion, with units ready for handover by the end of 2018, according to Damac.

“Ghalia is a special project for Damac, as the tower offers residents the option to have their furnished apartments fully serviced,” said Ali Sajwani, general manager of operations at Damac Properties.

“Furthermore, Ghalia caters to our growing Muslim customers who are seeking luxury living that also complies with Sharia laws… we are thrilled to be completing the tower in 2018, with handover of units starting near the end of the year.”

Indeed, Ghalia offers separate leisure amenities for men and women. There are men’s and women’s dining facilities, men’s and women’s gyms, and men’s and women’s swimming pools.

In terms of the actual apartments on offer, Ghalia will contain one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. All are expected to be generously sized, given this is a luxury development. The building’s total floorspace covers over 1 million square feet.

The building comes in response to growing demand among Muslims for Shaira-compliant real estate developments.

Damac Offers Incentives To Invest In Radisson Damac Hills

Damac Properties is offering returns of up to 6% guaranteed for the first three years to investors in the new Radisson Damac Hills project.

The property will feature 481 rooms and will be located on the Trump International Golf Club Dubai at Damac Hills. Investors will have a choice of both one and and two-bedroom suites.

“Dubai’s increasing appeal as a global tourism destination gives direct and indirect investors access into the sector’s growth, as Dubai is set to continue welcoming increasing numbers of tourists well into 2020,” said Hussain Sajwani, Chairman of DAMAC.

First Dubai Creek Harbour Residences Ready By 2019

Emaar has announced that it has made significant progress on the first phase of Dubai Creek Harbour, and that the first residents of the mega-development should be able to move in by 2019.

Dubai Creek Harbour covers six square kilometres, and will be home to The Tower, slated to be the new tallest building in the world when it’s completed.

Ahead of that, though, there’ll be plenty of properties made available around Dubai Creek Harbour, the first of which is Creek Island Dubai, the area’s flagship district. Within that, sitsthe Riviera-style Creek Marina district, which will be open to the public by “early 2019”, Emaar said.

Initially, there’ll be six residential towers containing 872 homes. All will provide panoramic views of Downtown Dubai, according to Emaar.

Once completed, Creek Island Dubai is expected to home 33,500 residents, and contain shops, restaurants and leisure attractions. There’ll also be a yacht club and a promenade, plus a hotel styled on marina-type hotels in Singapore and Shanghai.

The island will be connected to the mainland by three bridges.

On the mainland, near the mangroves of the Ras Al Khor wildlife sanctuary, is where The Tower is being constructed. The centerpiece of Dubai Creek Harbour, foundation work has already begun on the building, with 170,000 cubic metres of soil having been excavated.

Check Out RAK Properties’ Marbella Villas This Weekend

RAK Properties is holding a launch event for Marbella Villas, a new luxury residential project, on Friday, September 14.

Marbella Villas will be located on Hayat Island in Ras Al Khaimah and will offer a mix of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom villas and townhouses.

According to the developer’s web site, Hayat Island will feature around 2,500 apartments, 238 townhouses and 521 luxury hotel rooms and this new development will presumably add more to that mix.

Two residential communities have already been announced on Hayat Island: Northbay Residences, offering beachfront apartments, and Verde, offering three and four-bedroom villas/townhouses.

The launch event for Marbella Villas takes place at Four Seasons Resort Jumeirah, Dubai and starts at 1.00pm.
