The BMW X7 is Munich’s upcoming large SUV. It’ll be the new flagship for the brand’s X range, akin to the BMW 7 Series saloon in its luxury and technological advancement.
The thing is, we’ve only seen a concept car so far. The real thing hasn’t been revealed (we’ll have to wait until the LA Motor Show in November for that), and it won’t go on sale until next year.
In the meantime, though, BMW has been putting prototype versions of the X7 through their paces. Testers have taken it through deserts, icy tundras, and, um, downtown.
Naturally, BMW says that the car has so far performed brilliantly in every environment. And to back that claim up, it’s produced a little video showing a camouflaged X7 in a range of different testing situations. We’re particularly interested in the part where it looks like the BMW X7 can handle itself well in sand.
When it does eventually launch, the BMW X7 will likely start at around USD 85,000 – so more than AED 300,000. Don’t be surprised, though, to see higher-spec models priced way higher. This is a Range Rover competitor, so expect it to occupy the same space of the market.
What do you think? Would you choose this over a Range Rover? Check out the video below.
