Do you own a Mitsubishi Pajero? Well, you should know that almost 54,000 of them have been recalled in the UAE due to damaged airbags.
Al Habtoor Motors, the Mitsubishi distributor in the UAE, has issued a recall, following the instruction of the UAE’s Ministry of Economy, for V90W and V80W variants made between January 2013 and December 2017.
“We regret to inform that due to usage condition, the changes of temperature and longtime humidity, the propellant (ammonium nitrate) in the inflator for passenger side frontal airbag may be deteriorated and, as a result, the inflator body may rupture at the time of airbag deployment,” the dealership said in a statement.
“Therefore, the frontal airbag inflator for passenger side has to be changed.”
If you own one of the affected models or know someone who does, you can contact Al Habtoor Motors to arrange for repairs. Email them at cm@habtoormotors.com or call the customer care service line on 800 254 228 667.
