If you’re a fan of Jaguar, you’ll have no doubt heard of the XE SV Project 8.

Conceived in the skunkworks SVO division of Jaguar Land Rover, the XE SV Project 8 is the most powerful, hardcore Jaguar ever produced. Despite it being based on a sensible compact sedan, it’s even harder than the F-Type-based Project 7 that was teased in 2015.

Anyway, introduction over, if you know about the Project 8, you’ll want to see it in the metal. Well, here’s your chance – it’ll be at the Dubai International Motor Show from 14 to 18 November.

Naturally, Jaguar will have a host of its regular stuff on its stand at the Motor Show, too, but the Project 8 is what we’re really interested in. And here’s why:

Firstly, it’s got a heavily reworked version of Jaguar’s supercharged 5.0-litre V8. In the Project 8, it’s developing as near as makes no difference 600 bhp. That means it’ll go from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, and that means that the Project 8 is the fastest-accelerating Jaguar ever built. Oh, and it’ll go on to a top speed of 322 km/h.

And Jaguar has done much more than simply whack a big engine into the Project 8. It comes with four-wheel drive in order to get all of that power down onto the road. It’s also had lots of light-weight racing bits added to it, such as a carbon-fibre Bumper with enhanced cooling ducts, a vented carbon-fibre bonnet, flared bodywork covering 20-inch forged aluminium alloy wheels, an adjustable front splitter, a flat underbody, a rear carbon-fibre bumper, a rear diffuser and an adjustable rear aerodynamic wing.

An if you really want to geek out over this car’s set-up, you’ll revel in the double-wishbone front and integral-link rear suspension with stiffer springs and manually adjustable continuously variable dampers that provide a 15mm lower ride height for track use. The Project 8 also debuts new carbon ceramic brakes, Formula 1-style silicon nitride ceramic wheel bearings, and incorporates a rear electronic active differential with oil cooler.

Want to see how all of that comes together? Check out the pics below, and get yourself down to Dubai Motor Show in a couple of weeks.
